WHAT KIND OF CHURCH ARE WE?
We are an Apostolic-Pentecostal Church, the continuation of the Apostolic-Pentecostal Church that was born on the day of Pentecost (hence Pentecostal) as recorded in the book of Acts when about 120 people, including the 12 Apostles, received the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues – Acts 2:4. Soon after, the Apostle Peter preached his first sermon to those Jewish people present and commanded them to repent and to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost; they that gladly received the word were baptized, about 3,000 souls; and they continued steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine (hence Apostolic) and fellowship – Acts 2:38-42. This same message preached to the Jews was preached to the Samaritans (half Jew-half Gentile) in Acts 8, to the Gentiles (non-Jew) in Acts 10, and to the disciples of John the Baptist in Acts 19 (religious folks).
We believe the Bible teaches that there is in only one God. The Bible emphatically teaches in the Old Testament that there is only one God, and that truth is continued in the New Testament. The titles Father and Holy Ghost are associated with the name of the Son, Jesus, which was given to Him when He was born, and it is still His name in His glorified body (Matthew 28:19 and Isaiah 9:6). Jesus, in His glorified body, is the one God of the Bible as revealed in the New Testament (Colossians 2:7-10). The Bible does not teach the concept of a triune God.
The Bible teaches that when we are saved, we are sin free and filled with the power of the Holy Ghost (2 Corinthians 2:7). With the baptism of the Holy Ghost comes the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) to help us live a victorious life. Because of the Holy Ghost in our lives and the promises of the Bible, we are commanded in scripture to ask God to fulfill in us His promises that are empowered by the Holy Ghost with faith such as healings and other miracles that are answer to prayer. We are told to desire Spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians14:1) and especially prophecy. All of the above and more are manifested in our church services.

Pastor Dominguez and Family (by Pastor Dominguez)

Pastor D
My name is (Mr.) Inez G. Dominguez, and I am the Pastor of Mount Calvary Apostolic Church. I was baptized on August 4, 1974, in the name of Jesus under the authority of Pastor Mike Marufo, an Apostolic-Pentecostal Minister of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus (Apostolic Assembly), an international Christian organization. I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost on December 21, 1974. I was ordained in November 1980 as an Apostolic-Pentecostal Minister under the authority of my then Pastor Eleazar Rodriguez, in an Apostolic Assembly Youth Conference in San Diego, California. Pastor Eleazar Rodriguez was a pastor of a local Apostolic-Pentecostal Church in Denver, Colorado. Pastor Eleazar Rodriguez was also the Bishop of the Colorado District under the jurisdiction of the Apostolic Assembly. I served and trained under Pastor Eleazar Rodriguez until January 1985, when I was his Assistant Pastor at the time.
To answer the call of the Lord Jesus Christ, on January 27, 1985, I started a work as Pastor of an Apostolic-Pentecostal Church in southwest Denver, Colorado (located at 2601 West Bates Avenue) as a member of the Apostolic Assembly under the leadership of Bishop Eleazar Rodriguez. (After Bishop Rodriguez left the Colorado District in late summer of 1987, I left the Apostolic Assembly organization in 1988 and organized the local church as an independent Apostolic-Pentecostal church.) In late 1990, we bought a church building at 400 South Logan Street in Denver, Colorado. We left the Bates Avenue location after we had fixed and furnished the 400 South Logan building where we started having church services in early 1992. We sold the South Logan church in July 2015 and bought another church building at 7797 Raleigh Street in Westminster, Colorado, in August 2015. We dedicated this church building as our new church location in June 12, 2016, and we continue to hold our church services here in Westminster, Colorado.
I was born in San Ignacio (also known as Praxedis G. Guerrero), Chihuahua, Mexico. I went to school in Mexico for one year, and I immigrated with my parents and four siblings to the United States in the summer of 1954, and two more siblings were added to my family later. My father was hired by Alvin Romney to run his farm in an area called Fort Fillmore, a few miles from Mesilla Park, New Mexico, while Mr. Romney attended to his business of selling John Deer equipment to the local farmers in the Mesilla Valley of southern New Mexico. I went to elementary school for three years in Mesilla Park, during which time I learned to speak English since Spanish was my first language. In the summer of 1959, my father went to work for a different farmer and we moved to a house near the Rio Grande River by a small town named Vado in New Mexico. I attended a new school in La Mesa, New Mexico, in the fall of 1959 as a 5th grader in the Gadsden Independent School District. I attended the Gadsden Independent School District the rest of my school years. I became a Unites States citizen in March 1965, and I graduated from Gadsden High School in May 1965. In the fall of 1965, I enrolled in New Mexico State University (NMSU). During my college years, I joined the NMSU Co-op Program and worked as an IBM Co-op employee in Huntsville, Alabama, for three six-month work phases in 1966-1968, while working on the Apollo Space Program. I graduated in December 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
I was employed in May 1972 by Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) in Denver, Colorado, as an electrical engineer to work in their electric utility company. I worked for PSCo for about 30 years as an Electric System Planning Engineer, including 15 years as Supervisor of Bulk Power Transmission Planning. In October 2001, I retired from the utility company and went to work for the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) as a Professional Engineer. I retired from the CPUC in October 2015 and I am still retired from my secular jobs.

My Wife  - Martha Dominguez
I married my wife (Martha Yolanda) in July 1968. Martha graduated from NMSU with a Bachelor of Science in Education in May 1970, and taught 3rd grade for two years at La Mesa Elementary School in La Mesa, New Mexico, during which time she received a Teacher of the Year Award. My wife and I moved to Denver, Colorado, in June 1972, after she had finished her teaching school year. In October 1972, my wife and I had our first daughter, Sylvia, born in Denver, Colorado. After our daughter’s birth, my wife and I decided that we needed to raise our daughter as a Christian so we embarked in serious Bible study to find out what the Christian textbook had to say. Our Bible study led us to the Apostolic-Pentecostal doctrine. In August 1974, my wife received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in a Sunday night service and was baptized in the name of Jesus in the same service afterwards, the same night I was baptized. Our second daughter, Cynthia, came in August 1975, followed by Sandra in October 1977, and Sarah in December 1979. Our girls came as a blessing and joy to our lives.

The School
In early summer 1986, my wife and I attended a three-day workshop at the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Headquarters in Garland, Texas, near Dallas. We went for the purpose of learning how to be school principals using the ACE Curriculum; we passed and earned our principal certificates. We worked diligently the rest of the summer in making school desks so we could start the church school in early September at the Bates Avenue building. Apostolic Christian Academy (ACA) was born in September 1986 with my wife, Martha, as the ACA Principal. Our four daughters were enrolled in the school as well as many children from our local congregation and many other congregations and the neighborhood.  We continued the church school with my wife as the ACA Principal for about 20 years. During that time, my wife established a record that of all her students she taught to learn to read, they all learned, no failures! All of our daughters graduated from our church school along with many others students.

Our Daughters.
All of our daughters were baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the spirit at and early age as members of our church. After high school graduation, all four of our daughters attended Jackson College of Ministries, an accredited Bible college in Jackson, Mississippi. We asked them to attend for at least one year and to major in music. Three of our daughters graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. All four daughters have been a blessing to our church, providing years of musical tutelage for ACA students, directing and teaching children's choir, and now as active leaders in our church music ministry. Our daughters grew up and got married and blessed us with 8 grandchildren – 2 boys and 6 girls – 2 from each.  They continuously bring joy to our lives and our congregation.
